Hi,

Welcome to my Xbox 360 page. Below I have listed the Xbox 360 games I have with a brief summary of the game (usually from the manufactures) and my comments on those games. I generally prefer driving games however I find that I will probably get into the GRAW type of game having played that. To the right is displayed my gamer-tag so add me to your "friends" list and we can meet up on-line.
I do not have a lot of on-line gaming experience (none really) so be gentle..

Game Summary Comments
Grand Theft Auto might give you the freedom of a whole city or county but in Just Cause you’ve got the task of overthrowing a 250,000 acre island all on your lonesome in the world’s first Che Guevara simulator. Another over the shoulder "shoot 'em up" with plenty of action and stealth needed to complete the missions. Side missions get you promoted and the "stage" is truly huge in that you seem to be able to go anywhere and use any vehicle (if you can drag out the occupants!). Not long started this but could be long lasting.

Splinter Cell returns with an all-new story of double-dealing terrorists and uncomfortable moral decisions. Its greatest new feature though is its multiplayer, which continues to expand into the definitive online stealth experience. Over the shoulder "shoot 'em up" with plenty of action and stealth needed to complete the missions. Not played much yet as brought this on the same day as Just Cause and have been playing that.

After the last game became the best selling launch title for the Xbox 360, Activision aren’t wasting any time with the follow-up as you do you bit to help out with the Normandy breakout and the liberation of France. First person "shoot 'em up" with plenty of action. Take part in various scenarios against "jerry", whether on foot or in a tank. You need to be careful as not being able to find cover will end up in you being "dead". Two player on the console seems to be death-match style only.
Longevity rating: 4/5
Mexico City has been overrun by terrorists and only the Ghost Recon team can restore order – through the use of extreme violence. You command not just your three team mates but a high-tech array of weapons, armoured vehicles and aircraft. Over the shoulder "shoot 'em up" with plenty of action and stealth needed to complete the missions. Actually one of the few games I have completed (albeit on normal mode only so far, working on hard mode). Two - four player options on same console give opportunity to play either in co-op mode or against each other. Max likes co-op mode.

PGR 3 creates the ultimate roster of the hottest supercars in existence, introduces them to the high-definition era, and drops them into a completely new gaming world, where style rules the road. Racers define and create individually customised gameplay, and can race each other--on or offline. Original and probably so far the best racing game on the Xbox 360. Split screen two player action or race the various levels either against the clock or AI opponents. all Ok but I have difficulty with the cone areas, a right PITA.
Longevity rating: 4.5/5
Dead or Alive 4 will be the leader in fighting games as it once again raises the bar in both online and offline fighting. By utilising the advanced technology of the new Xbox 360 hardware, Dead or Alive 4 will redefine 3-D high definition graphics as the attention to detail is astounding from each strand of the character's hair to each cherry blossom falling from the sky, creating the most visually beautiful and realistic looking video game to date. First "beat 'em up" I purchased for the 360. Story mode is OK however Max is not a massive fan of the one-on-one fighting as I tend to beat her. This seems to be a mash the buttons type game but is enjoyable all the same but not one I keep returning to.

Lara Croft is finally back in the first game to do her legacy justice since the days of the original PlayStation. With updated graphics and gameplay, and a whole new suite of moves and equipment this is the sequel fans have always demanded. Further adventures of Lara and first TR game I have brought for a while (had the first one on the PS1). Graphics are ok but too dark on an SD CRT TV so you have issues with some of the darker areas. Generally an OK game but need to get back into it as I played a bit but put it down when I got GRAW. Will probably restart.

Amped 3, like snowboarding itself, isn't just about the sport. Sure, there's an all-new physics engine, an innovative artificial intelligence engine so you get the most authentic riding experience at some the world's greatest winter resorts. But snowboarding is all about style. Amped 3 offers incredible customization and deep, wide sandboxes loaded with killer gameplay. Tries to be a little more accessible than the original Xbox games Amped / Amped 2 and succeeds to a degree however it's less the "serious" game it was but not as cartoon like as the SSX series / SSX Tricky. Overall it's good but I prefer the SSX series..

Playing as shape-shifter Kameo, your special skill is that once you’ve vanquished an enemy you can assume their form and use their special attacks at any time. This offers an ever-increasing arsenal of wittily designed beasts with which to complete your quest, as well as expanding varieties of combo to take on the tougher bosses. Role playing game with puzzles with a "boss" at the end of each level. To defeat the boss you have to play as various characters. Each character has their own skills however some you find you tend to use more than others. With the end of level bosses you need to be able to quickly change characters and to decide which of the 3 "on-line" characters you want to be before you pick off a boss.  Overall a fun game but not massively tricky.

Developed for the Xbox 360, Ridge Racer 6 takes advantage of the system's power to deliver the most intense and immersive drift racing experience yet, with an unprecedented sense of speed, slick graphics and more than 130 cars that let players enjoy every hairpin drift and high-speed straightaway like never before. Racing game based on super fast speeds and lack or realism. You need to drift round corners and there is basically no damage modelling so you can pretty much whatever you like, it'll slow you down for a bit but that's it. Not a patch on PGR3 for racing.
